Well, we are back from the biggest dog show in the State of Florida – the Florida Classic Cluster, held in Brooksville January 13 thru January 21, sponsored in part by the Inverness Kennel Club. This is Florida’s version of Westminster. Throughout this entire week I was honored to tend to the wellbeing of some of the most magnificent specimens of the dog world. There were over 8,000 entries in the show. Along with them came judges, breeders, owners, handlers, groomers and LOTS and LOTS of spectators.

I have had my face washed by the biggest bull mastiff I have EVER seen. I have received delicate doggie kisses from some of the most gorgeous Doberman Pinschers in the world. I was also privileged to work on German Shepherds, King Charles Spaniels, Chinese Cresteds, tiny Terriers, Poodles and Staffordshire Bulls, Boxers and good old hound dogs just to name a few. Some dogs were dainty, some were sleek, others were wiry, even more were hairy. All were wonderful. What an opportunity to view the dog in his or her very best condition.
