Gift Certificate Program

Here is how it works: Someone interested in giving a Gift Certificate redeemable at any of the over 70 member businesses and/or services that make up the Association can go to the Bank of Inverness (address), which is located just off the square in Olde Downtowne. The bank will be selling the certificates in denominations of $5, $10 and $25 with no cost other than the face amount requested on the Gift Certificate.
At the time of purchase you will also receive a listing of the current members that will gladly accept the Gift Certificates as payment for items or services. Since new members are constantly being added you may refer to this association web site www.invernessoldetowne.org and find an updated listing of all current members at any time.
Since the Gift Certificates will be issued with PAY TO THE ORDER left blank you may choose to do either one of the following: Fill in the name of the person that you are giving the certificate to in the space provided OR leave the space blank and the person you are giving the certificate to can have the member company fill in their name when it is redeemed. If you fill in the space with the name of person receiving the certificate then they will be asked to endorse the certificate on the back and show proper identification.
It is necessary to spend 50% or more of the face value of the certificate at the time it is redeemed. Any amount not used above the 50% will be given back to the redeemer in cash by the vendor. The certificates will be good for 180 days from the date of issuance by the bank and must be redeemed in this time or they become null and void. Please make sure that you emphasize this fact to the person you give the certificate to so that they avoid any embarrassment that could come from trying to use an outdated certificate.
